Reflecting on the declarations of some MPs of the Democratic Bloc, according to which a national front under the aegis of the President of the Republic will be formed, the general secretary of the UGTT, Noureddine Tabboubi revealed that the trade union is not examining for the moment any front with any political party.
Tabboubi said that notwithstanding the economic and social difficulties that the nation is undergoing at the moment, the current situation cannot be equalled to that of 2015, the year in which the “quartet of Tunisian national dialogue ”, had contributed to the democratic transition.
He said, nevertheless, that if a national dialogue takes place, it should be under the aegis of the President of the Republic Kais Saied, elected by direct universal vote and president of all Tunisians.
