Tunisia-UGTT opposed to unilateral development of 2023 finance bill

The UGTT Executive Office condemned, in its latest press release, the unilateral development of the 2023 finance bill by the government while cautioning against the new social measures cited in the law in question.

The UGTT  has warned President Kais Saïed against the approval of the leaked version of the finance law alluding that the new decisions do not serve the interest of the people.

According to the same press release, the UGTT pointed out the decline of the purchasing power of Tunisians due to the blatant price increase and the resounding failure of the government.

The UGTT, in the same vein, believed that the Bouden government does not have a clear vision capable of fighting against the shortage of drugs and basic foodstuffs.

“The UGTT condemns the authorities’ appeal to external credits to fund the state budget while rejecting the vagueness that reigns around the lack of transparency in terms of negotiations with the IMF” reads the press release.
