Tunisia-UGTT: Othmane Jallouli rejects arrest campaign against trade unionists

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, deputy secretary general of UGTT responsible for Social Security and the unstructured economy Othmane Jallouli condemned the arrest campaign carried out including trade unionists.

On the sidelines of his participation in the workers’ rally held in Sfax, Jallouli clarified that this protest movement was held to point out the decline of the purchasing power of citizens due to the outbreak of prices and the increase in the inflation rate.

He confirmed, in the same context, that the secretary general of the Confederation of European Unions Esther Lynch came to Tunisia to express solidarity with the UGTT  in the face of the campaign of denigration and defamation which it faces.
