The Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) repeated its resolution to save Tunisia from the cycle of violence and to battle against fake promises to the detriment of the interests of the people.
In a press release published on Friday, December 4, 2020, the UGTT emphasised its determination to fight against tries to hurt the democratic process, in order to be capable to build a civil state and defend the values of the Republic.
In this context, the UGTT recalled that the nation is currently in a bad patch identified by political tensions and the uttering of speech encouraging hatred, conveyed by the extremist currents which are bent on getting their hands on state structures.
In addition, the trade union centre indicated it’s firm will to support the people’s demands and peaceful protests around legitimate demands, far from sectoral and regional conflicts.
