UGTT deputy secretary general Samir Cheffi recollected that the UGTT is in favour of all forms of the fight against corruption and that it was the first party to call for the fight against all the negative factors that marred the administration, like recruitment and allegiances.
He added that the UGTT is persuaded that corruption stops any development effort. He explained that there is no development in the presence of corruption and the power of lobbies.
Cheffi added that the fight against corruption can only be done via a free press and an independent justice system.
