Tunisia-UNESCO accepts application of Couscous and Charfiya for inscription on Intangible Cultural Heritage’s list

The application of Couscous and Charfiya on the Kerkennah Islands, in Tunisia, has been accepted by the UNESCO evaluation body under the Intergovernmental Commission for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The National Heritage Institute (INP) said that the evaluation body suggested their inscription on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Their ultimate inscription is anticipated to be approved during the 15 session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, due to be held online on the Interprefy platform on December 14-19.
