After the democratic bloc, it is the turn of the National Union of Tunisian Women (UNFT) to register a complaint against MP Mohamed Affes.
The UNFT has just lodged a complaint with the public prosecutor at the Tunis court of first instance against MP Mohamed Affes for verbal violence against women during the plenary session of December 3.
Speaking to the TAP Radhia Jerbi, president of the UNFT announced that a committee made up of representatives of the organization and civil society as well as former members of parliament and citizens offered this morning, a complaint, bearing a hundred signatures.
The signatories called on the public prosecutor to initiate an inquiry into the comments hostile to women made by Affès and to apply the provisions of Law No. 58 of 2017 on the elimination of violence against women. as well as articles 245 and 247 of the penal code which criminalize the attack on honour to the consideration of a person and defamation.
