The Republican Popular Union published a statement in which it announced it was appalled at the comments made by Kaïs Saïed in Paris, during the last aid summit for African economies, when he called Tunisia as a country corrupt, in front of a foreign media while the summit was a chance to unite donor countries to obtain financial aid.
The UPR has called Kaïs Saïed a menace to the state and that it intends to destabilize and erode it.
The UPR called on the Parliament to meet to evaluate the performance of the President of the Republic, and take the required measures to prevent him from harming the state, including discussing steps to remove him.
