Tunisia-UTAP warns of severe milk shortage

Tunisia Union of Agriculture and fishing “UTAP,” executive member Koraich Belghith revealed there were no indications that the milk crises will be resolved soon.
He emphasised that the state has not accomplished its duty and has failed in its commitment to providing solutions for the dairy sector. Adding that crises will impact farms and local consumers heavily.
He revealed that the union had signed a convention with the state to import and positively enhance the local herd in reasonable hope of boosting the Tunisian market, however this convention has yet to be activated he said. He also hoped the Ministry of Commerce would take the necessary precautions to solve this critical dilemma.
