Tunisia-Vaccination authorization in pharmacies is official

A ministerial decree was issued in the JORT on Friday, July 16, 2021, setting the provisions for the authorization given to pharmacists and their preparers to conduct the vaccination operation.
The decree points out that pharmacists are allowed to give vaccines and injections on medical prescriptions for the drugs listed in Tables A, B and C, and without a formula for other drugs.
Preparers are authorized to perform vaccines and injections under the responsibility of the pharmacist and granted they have a professional aptitude certificate issued by the Ministry of Health. This certificate is issued after an expert examination at the completion of theoretical and practical studies.
Pharmacists and their authorized preparers need to use sterilized equipment and disposable syringes, and vaccines and injections must be carried out in pharmacies. The decree indicates that all vaccines and injections must be listed in a special register dedicated for this purpose and containing all the required information.
