The 1st International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (IADE) presented the first Tunisian manufactured drone.
Deputy Director-General of the manufacturing company Khaled Yahyaoui declared in a statement to Tunisie Numérique that the drone is a tactical aircraft capable of reaching up to 12 thousand feet in the sky with a speed of 250 km per hour.
The drone can also perform surveillance and reconnaissance operations as well as aid in farming operations including irrigation and Treating agricultural lands, he pointed out.
With a cost ranging between 150 and 300 thousand dollars, the drone can be also employed for military purposes, he added.
Our speaker also affirmed that the drone is on-demand from foreign countries, especially African ones. He said to have proposed the drone for Tunisian ministries without any response.
