Tunisia- [Video +Documents] Mabrouk Korchid: A bone-breaking battle between political parties hindered three massive projects in the south of Tunisia

In an exclusive interview with Tunisie Numérique former Tunisian Minister of State Property and Land Affairs, Mabrouk Korchid revealed that the local construction of three gigantic projects in southern Tunisia, particularly in Medenine were hindered due Political conflicts.

With an estimated one thousand billion, the first project aimed at building a  bridge to link Djerba and Medinine, the project was reasonably assumed to increase visits to Djerba up to a three-time average.
The second scheme aimed to expand  Zarzis harbour to enable   it to be a window of profitable trade with the African continent in  particular.
The third project intended to adequately develop a railroad, which has been promptly deserted since 1956 in Medinine, Ben Gardane and ZarzisKarchid revealed.

In proper regards to financing these projects, the former minister stated that due to the projects large budgets, the local government planned to cordially invite foreign investors ,they further tacitly approved a exclusive deal with the Chinese to fund these projects that were justly expected to help in powerfully building the southern and reduce unemployment in the region as a whole.
Narrow partisan estimations and a fierce battle of grinding bones between particular political powers and entrusting the Minister of State Property and Land Affairs about himself contributed to the interruption of these projects and his dismissal at a later stage.
Korchid stressed enough that this political party, in essential particular, Ennhdha regarded him as a defacto in attracting voters, as a direct result, they cautiously pushed Youssef chahed government for a ministerial reshuffle by using the diplomatic crises of the official document of Carthage 1 which was adopted to retain the government at that time.
The direct supervision of these projects was properly transferred to the Ministry of Equipment, Housing and Territorial Development, at that specific point Studies and contact with the Chinese side stopped as a result convention remained dead on paper due to political conflicts which only took into accounts narrow partisan affairs.
