Fishermen shut down Sousse commercial port on Saturday by barring its entry with their trawlers as they protested.
According to Tunisie Numérique reporter, This siege operation took place in the presence of the city’s maritime guards.
The escalation cames as fishermen accused authorities of not taking into account the difficulties of the sector, in particular the lack of support for the profession which is experiencing difficulties.
Fishermen should head to the governorate headquarters for a meeting with authorities to raise their problems and attain resolutions.
