Finance Minister Nizar Yaiche affirmed that Tremendous efforts have been made in the past two years financially particularly, for the State budget.
In an interview published in the ministry Facebook page, he pointed out that the evaluation conducted in partnership with World Bank uncovers that the economic and social aspects didn’t go so well in recent years.
The Minister said that the state of public expenditure is extremely challenging, in addition to the increase in debts towards public and private institutions, he stressed the obligation to deal with these figures in a monetary way.
He further disclosed an eight billion dinar gap in the state budget, adding that the COVID-19 financial implications are around 5 Billion TND, which in return created a difficult situation.
The situation requires a lot of bravery and search for solutions to mobilize financial resources and start saving the economy.
