Tunisia [Video ] : Press Banned From Covering PDL Sit-In

Journalists have been barred from entering Ghannouchi Chief of staff Habib Kheder office, where the PDL sit-in is taking place, on the pretence that the place was reserved for MPs.

One of the PDL deputies specially asked journalists to access the office of the chief of staff to convey what was happening there live. “Security” insisted on preventing journalists from covering the event.

Even more, these individuals prevented the MP in question from returning to present his statements to the media, before several efforts by both sides. Notwithstanding the doors being closed, we sought, as best we could, to transmit the information in real-time behind the closed door.

However, we discovered ourselves again barred from doing so, despite our respect for the distance that we were asked not to exceed.

It should be noted that all the doors of the office, including the exterior door, were closed to us to prevent us from receiving any information, even sound.
