The residents of “City Pasha”, course Gabès km 6, municipality of Thyna, of the government of Sfax, requested for aid from the authorities after receiving housing which has lacked water and electricity for a year.
Having acquired first-class social housing, citizens have been living in agony since they took ownership of their houses which is shared between the project’s real estate developer, the Banque de l’Habitat, the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company. (STEG) and the National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (SONEDE).
The residents are protesting and consider they have been the subject of a significant scam operation by the developer.
A total of 51 houses in this residential area have been living in distress since they received these housing units through the Housing Bank, deprived of drinking water and electricity for almost a year.
