A press conference was organized today at the UGTT headquarters in conjunction with the general strike of doctors, dentists and pharmacists of university hospitals programmed for Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
On the sidelines of the conference, spokesman of the General Union of Tunisian workers (UGGT), Sami Tahri said that the protesters are calling to reform the public health sectors , particularly hospitals.
He further called on the government to take the necessary measures to stop the migration of medical specialists abroad or to the private sector, in special by improving their financial situation.
He also expressed rejection of attempts to privatize studies in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.
