Tunisia – [Video] :The problem is economic but the solution is political

As part of the consultations around the formation of the new government, prime minister-designate Hichem Mechichi received this morning at the Dar Dhiafa Palace in Carthage, the former Head of Government, Hammadi Jebali.

The latter said that the next step was going to be a test for the entire political class, and not just for Hichem Mechichi.

He further explained that to the economic difficulties that the country is going through at the moment, the solution is largely political.

The image that politicians projects today is one of neglecting the best interests of the state in favor of partisan and personal interests. This must stop in order to avoid scenarios comparable to those of other Arab countries, he insisted.
