Tunisia-Video-Yamina Zoghlami: Rached Ghannouhi has the right to dissolve Ennahdha executive bureau

In a statement to Tunieie Numérique, Ennahda’s deputy Yamina Zoghlami said that the party leader Rached Ghannouhi has the prerogative to terminate the Islamic party executive office and to appoint a new team which will be submitted to the Choura council, Subsequently, the council will vote in favour or against.

She also evoked that Ghanouchi had already made adjustments to the movement’s executive office, as part of the implementation of the recommendations announced at the party 26 congress.

Referring to the bureau dissolve, she explained that this change aims to meet the expectations of members of the movement as well as its activists. It also an application of democracy. Concerning the party next congress meeting, she indicated that the date has not been fixed.

In conclusion, she affirmed that overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic represents the party greatest concern, adding that after this crisis Tunisia will encounter a very weak socio-economic situation.
