Tunisia-[Video]:Protests by residents of Mezouar in Béja against the construction of a cement plant

Residents of the Mezouar area of the  Beja governorate and civil society activists closed the road and held a protest rally against the construction of a cement factory in the region.

They denounced the pressure exerted on local and central authorities by businessmen in order to achieve their goals.

According to this plant will affect the environment and have negative effects on agriculture and animal husbandry.

Protesters have denounced an act of squandering fertile farmland for a factory, while other arid regions may be home to this industrial unit
