Tunisia-Violence against women: Publication of a new circular

The Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly has reported that the presidency of the government has issued a circular on the fight against violence against women.

This circular refers to the efforts made to update the plans and strategies set in place by adopting a participatory approach, in addition to holding periodic meetings with the purpose of assessing what has been accomplished in this area.

According to the same source, the presidency of the government likewise called for the implementation of a ministerial plan to further improve the application of the provisions of law 2017-58 of August 11, 217, to eliminate the different forms of violence towards women and deal with the side effects documented on different levels.
