Tunisia-Vote of confidence: Saied rejects parliament correspondence for date error

The General Secretariat of the House of People’s Representatives transmitted a correspondence to the Presidency of the Republic yesterday, Wednesday, January 27, to inform it of the results of the plenary session after the vote in favour of the ministers suggested in the reshuffle operated by prime minister Hichem Mechichi.

This correspondence takes place within the framework of the regular legislative procedure and respect for the provisions of the Constitution and the rules of procedure of the parliament. But according to Mosaïque FM, president of the republic Kais Saied, for his part, sent correspondence to the parliament to point out a mistake in the initial correspondence.

The error involves the date of the vote of confidence in the new ministers, presented as of January 26, rather than the 27.
