The National Institute of Meteorology declared, on December 25, 2020, that the orange colour implying a high degree of warning in the alert map, has been assigned to the governorates of Beja, Jendouba, Kef, Siliana and Kasserine due to anticipated snow in the western heights and thunderstorms which can sometimes be severe in the far northwest.
In a press release, the institute mentioned that the weather will be entirely wintry on the weekend including the commencement of fluctuations as of night, with a marked drop in temperature, in addition to strong winds blowing in coastal areas, where their speed surpasses 60 km / h.
