The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) has placed 15 regions of the country the in yellow vigilance zone.
The regions are Grand Tunis, Zaghouan, Nabeul, Jendouba, Siliana, Kef, Monastir, Mahdia, Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid, Gafsa, Kasserine, Bejà, Bizerte and Sousse.
Yellow alertness requires particular attention to practising activities sensitive to meteorological risk.
These regions will see thunderstorm cells with sometimes intense rainfalls, hailstorms and lightning in places and strong winds temporarily surpassing 80 km/h under thunderstorms, specify the INM.
