Tunisia-Who is the proposed Secretary of State to the Minister of Economic Affairs Khalil Chtourou?

Khalil Chtourou is the proposed Secretary of State to the Minister of Economic Affairs, Finance and Investment, in charge of Public Finance and Investment.

Khalil Chtourou is a graduate of the National School of Administration as well as the National Customs School in Paris. He also holds a diploma in the speciality of regional integration policies from the Institut de Management International de Paris.

Born in 1963 in Sfax, Mr. Chtourou is a state clerk, having held several positions. He was director-general of financial and fiscal advantages before being appointed to the cabinet of the Minister of Finance between 2013 and 2017. He was manager representing the State to Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), the Agency promotion of industry and innovation (APII) and the National Tobacco and Matches Board (RNTA).

From 2017, Khalil Chtourou held the post of Chief of Staff to the Minister of Finance until he was appointed Secretary-General of Elyes Fakhfakh’s government in March 2020.
