Tunisia-Women’s Day: The first African astronaut sent to the ISS will be Tunisian

Telnet Group Director Mohamed Frikha declared that on National Women’s Day, a Russian delegation will pay a visit to Tunisia for the signing of a deal between Telnet and the Russian Space Agency.

According to Frikha, the goal of the agreement is to pick, train and send a Tunisian astronaut, the first on the African and probably on an Arab scale to the international space station ISS. 

Frikha additionally explained that we must take advantage of this chance to improve Tunisia’s image abroad.
