Tunisia-Young people from Thyna in sit-in at Guebiba oil zone

On the footstep of  El Kamour movement, young people from the Thyna region in the governorate of Sfax are organizing a sit-in in front of the “Guebiba” oil zone.

After five continuous days of sit-ins, they are anticipating for official authorities to respond to their demands.

Young people in Thyna and the region of El Hajeb are commanding for development, job creation and come up with feasible projects that decrease unemployment in their regions.

They repeated before a working meeting planned with the governor, Anis Oueslati, to give their proposals, that their sit-in is peaceful and does not disturb government services.

The protesters emphasised that they are not threatening to shut down the “Valve”, but that they are requesting for jobs and an end to the marginalization of the delegation, whose population exceeds 100,000.
