In a television interview, former prime minister and Tahya Tounes party leader Youssef Chahed stated his government was the only one to seriously combat corruption.
Chahed estimated that the Elyes Fakhfekh government had fallen under the blow of two laws that were decreed under his government in 2018: The law on the declaration of assets and trade register.
He further said that Tahya Tounes was a “young” and rational party that does not plan to enter into dispute with other political parties for futile reasons, stipulating that his party is studying the mistakes made in the past.
