The latest significant rain registered in the various regions of the Zaghouan governorate has greatly contributed to the development of areas cultivated with major crops.
The regional delegate for agricultural development, Fayçel Kataa, affirmed that sowing continues, especially in areas intended for cereals, specifying that more than 53,000 quintals of seeds have been provided, out of a total of 59,000 quintals given to Zaghouan, with a reduction in barley seeds recorded at a rate of around 37%.
He further emphasised that the seed distribution process was carried out through the adoption of a purchase receipt to put an end to any type of illegal seed trade and speculation.
