Echaab movement will never grant its approval for some proposed designees for the PM post for numerous reasons, announced “Echaab ” Secretary-General Zouhair Maghzaou in a declaration to Tunisie Numérique.
The next designated PM needs to have a comprehensive range of characteristics namely independence, competency and knowledge about the country’s social and economic status, asserted Maghzaoui, pointing out that the PM candidate needs to have a deep faith in the social role of the State and more importantly no prior ties to the old regime.
Furthermore, he expressed his party opposition to Ettakatol candidate Elyes Fakhfakh, especially since the party has no single representation in the parliament. Other opposed names include Ridha Ben Mosba who occupied several posts in the old regime, including being Ben Ali Presidential campaign manager. Our speaker further rejected Mongi Marzouk who is one of Ennahda candidate for the PM post.
Maghzaoui clarified that his party coordinated with other parties and coalitions to submit common names, however, it didn’t work out.
