Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Director of Economic Research at the Ministry of Commerce Zuhair Bouziane noted that during the month of Ramadan, economic monitoring was strengthened, and in the first period it included observing stores selling vegetables and grains, their distribution routes, and distribution routes for poultry products and red meat as well.
Our speaker pointed out that the economic monitoring operations included, during the 23 days of the month of Ramadan, the enactment of 76,410 monitoring visits that were provided by 3,336 economic monitoring teams, and 12,613 economic offences were recorded d, noting violations witnessed an upsurge of 4.3% compared to the first 23 days of the last month of Ramadan.

During the monitoring campaigns, several products were confiscated, including 570 tons of vegetables and grains, 7,500 eggs, 867 kg of white meat and fish, 302 tons of fortified grain derivatives, 2.7 tons of various foodstuffs, 9,637 litres of fortified vegetable oil, and 10,493 litres of fortified vegetable oil. Milk, 13,916 cans of canned tomatoes, 30.2 tons of sugar, 5.6 tons of fortified feedstuffs, 18,805 cans of tobacco, and 1,380 Fushik units.
