Tunisian jailed doctor Mahdia Marzouki released by Saudi authorities

Tunisian doctor Mahdia Marzouki, who was jailed for interacting with a pro-Hezbollah social media post, was released by Saudi authorities.

The Tunisian detainee started a hunger strike to demand an improvement in her detention conditions, “Al Mayadeen” channel reported.

Last November, a Saudi court sentenced Marzouki to 15 years in prison on charges of “insulting the regime,” after she “liked” a video of pro-Hezbollah rallies in the Tunisian capital.
