Tunisian swimming: 3 gold medals for Rahmouni and Jaouadi this Sunday

What an extraordinary day for Tunisian swimming in Cyprus and France!

We begin with a new performance from Tunisian swimmer Rami Rahmouni during the 3rd day of the 29th Mediterranean Cup in Limassol with a historic double in the 200m NL events in 1’50″65 (best Tunisian performance for 15-16 and 17-year-olds) and the 1500m NL in 15’38″40 after defeating the Italian Busilacchi (16 years old) by more than 15 seconds.

This is a record for Rami which exceeds that of Oussama Mellouli among the 15-16-year-olds with 2 gold and 1 silver in 2000 in Istanbul and Walid Naouar 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in 2006 among the 13-14-year-olds.

We move on to Chartres with the first day of the French Elite Championship, where Ahmed Jaouadi (19 years old) confirmed his international upgrade by winning the 400m NL in 3’46″10, beating the best French specialist David Aubry (27 years old). ) of 36/100 of a second.

Jaouadi accomplished a new minimum A participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, before the two other events, namely the 800m NL on June 19 and the 1500m NL on June 21.
