In an interview with Al Mayadeen Former presidential nominee and president of “Na7nou Houna” list for Tunis 1 constituency, Safi Saïd confirmed that a European and international pressure was exercised to liberate Karoui.He said that Prime minster Youssef Chahed did numerous favour for Karoui when jailed him.
Moreover, he stressed that the ISIE found itself in an embarrassing situation because it allowed Karoui candidacy from the starting, which is granted by the electoral law, a law that permits for Tom, Dick, and Harry to run for the presidency.
Finally , he added that the existence of a French-Italian conflict in Tunisia represented by Youssef Chahed and Nabil Karoui respectively.
