Two suspected Russian spies detained in Germany

Two German-Russian nationals were detained in the town of Bayreuth in Bavaria over suspicion of working for Russian intelligence services and plotting acts of sabotage, German federal prosecutors revealed on Thursday.

The two individuals, who were identified as 39-year-old Dieter S. and 37-year-old Alexander J., are accused of exploring possible attack targets, including the United States military installations based in Germany, with the aim of subverting military assistance to Ukraine.
