Two years in prison for former mayor of the Kef municipality

The criminal chamber of the Kef Court of First Instance convicted the former mayor of the municipality of Kef to two years in prison during the hearing on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. This decision comes in the context of a case of misuse of public office to obtain an illegal advantage, personal or for others, to the detriment of the administration and for breach of the regulations in force.

In addition to the prison sentence, the judgment provides for a fine of 10,960,625 dinars, a ban on exercising any public office, and five years of deprivation of the right to vote.
