US President Donald Trump met his Korean counterpart Kim Jong-un in the Korean demilitarised zone (DMZ). The historic meeting chronicled the first time the leaders of the US and North Korea have convened on the front line of the Korean peninsula conflict.
On Sunday Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at 4:45 pm on the demilitarized zone (DMZ) that divides the two Korea. The encounter remained 50 minutes.
As he left South Korea, Trump tweeted that he enjoyed “a wonderful meeting” with Kim. “Stood on the soil of North Korea, an important statement for all, and a great honour!”
