U.S. to deploy 750 soldiers to the Middle East after Demonstration at U.S. Embassy in Iraq

The United States decided to deploy approximately 750 soldiers to the Middle East in reply to the intense protests at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, announced Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
Esper announced in a declaration he had approved the deployment of an infantry battalion from the Immediate Response Force (IRF) of the 82nd Airborne Division. Aside from the immediate deployment, supplementary forces from the IRF are prepared to deploy over the next several days, he added.
