UGTT says no to proposal to amend electoral law

The National Bureau of the Tunisian Labor General Union (UGTT) voiced today “its rejection” of the proposal to revise certain provisions of the Basic Law No. 16 of May 26, 2014 relating to the elections and referendums, subject By a group of deputies, to the general legislation committee, with request for an urgent exam.

According to, the newspaper Echaabnews, the National Office of the Union Central called the independent higher body for Elections (isie) to the necessity to respect the law and requested for the intervention of the electoral body to reject the amendments that do not do not meet the deadlines and integrity of the election
