UK coronavirus death toll surpasses 40,000 people

The UK’s coronavirus death toll has surpassed  40,000 after reporting  357  new deaths, the BBC reports.

A total of 40,261 people have died in hospitals, care homes and the wider community after testing positive for the virus.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said”My heart goes out to them all and it makes me redouble my determination to deal with this virus”
