UK expels Russian military attache

British Home Secretary James Cleverly told the parliament on Wednesday that his department decided to expel a Russian military attache over what he described as the Eurasian country’s “malign activity”.

For the same reason, the United Kingdom will restrict the length of the validity of Russian diplomatic visas, Cleverly said. Still, he insisted that the UK remains “an extremely challenging operating environment for Russian intelligence services” and that the new sanctions will “only serve to strengthen our resilience to the Russian threat.”
