UK imposes trade sanctions against Russia

The United Kingdom introduced new sanctions against Russia, targeting the export to the country, the Cabinet announced on its website on Thursday.

The new sanctions will restrict the export of products and technology related to chemical and biological weapons, critical oil refining goods, and technology, as well as aviation fuel, fuel additives, and other petroleum products. In addition, London prohibited the export of pound sterling or European Union-denominated banknotes to the country.
