UK Supreme Court rejects Rwanda migrant plan

The United Kingdom’s Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that it had dismissed former Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s initiative to send migrants to Rwanda, deeming it “unlawful.”

The court’s rationale for this decision was based on “substantial grounds for believing that asylum seekers would face a real risk of ill-treatment by reason of refoulement to their country of origin if they were removed to Rwanda.”
