UK won’t challenge ICC’s warrants against Netanyahu

The new United Kingdom government decided to drop challenges of the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a Number 10 spokesperson said on Friday in a statement.

The spokesperson shared that the government has no plans to pursue the motion brought up by the previous regime, as the court is the only one that should decide on such matters.

“The government believes strongly in the rule of law and separation of powers,” the spokesperson remarked.
