There’s set to be a shift to the UAE’s tourist visa system, with a new multi-entry five-year visa.
Tourists can currently visit the UAE with a free multi-entry visa for up to 90 days from the date arrival.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the UAE’s Prime Minister and Vice President and Ruler of Dubai announced on Twitter that the visa had been adopted at the UAE Cabinet’s first 2020 meeting.
Sheikh Mohammed told the movement intended to establish the UAE, which has around 21 million international visitors each year, as an “influential global tourism destination”.
The move is expected to provide a boost to the tourism industry and make it easier for residents to bring relatives to the country for visits.
