US House of Representatives approved a bill banning all members of the Palestine Liberation Organization from entering US territory.
422 members of the Council voted in favour of the bill.
The new initiative expands the formerly issued law concerning the entry of PLO officials into American territory to include all members of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
The draft law also stipulates an entry prohibition on people linked to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements, as well as those participating in the attack on Israel on October 7th.
According to the draft law, individuals who do not hold American citizenship and who participated in the events of October 7 will not be able to approach the American authorities with requests for protection or facilitation of the travel system, including requests for protection from deportation to other countries.
The Israeli occupation army is waging a battle of extermination against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in response to the Hamas attack on October 7, which is continuing to this day.
The United States had previously closed the Palestine Liberation Organization office in Washington in September 2018, which was considered the only diplomatic mission that represented Palestine in the United States.
