The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday the temporary pier aimed at helping to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians has been anchored to the beach in Gaza.
“Trucks carrying humanitarian assistance are expected to begin moving ashore in the coming days. The United Nations will receive the aid and coordinate its distribution into Gaza,” the agency wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
CENTCOM insisted that “[a]s part of this effort, no US troops entered Gaza.”
