An unauthorized message transmitted on an air-traffic control channel on Monday threatened to fly a plane into the US Capitol, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday quoting sources with knowledge of a probe led by authorities into the recording.
The threat was conveyed on a radio frequency used by a Federal Aviation Administration facility and reportedly contained a computer-generated voice message: “We are flying a plane into the Capitol Wednesday.”
