US sees record 187,833 COVID cases, 2,015 deaths

The United States reported 187,833 new coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours,  Johns Hopkins University’s tally showed on Friday. The nation’s total number of cases exceeded 11.72 million.

Meanwhile, the country registered 2,015 deaths, bringing the death tally to 252,594.
