US Senate yeses stopgap bill, keeps gov’t open

The United States Senate passed the stopgap bill, previously approved by the House of Representatives, to keep the country’s government running.

The bill received a vast majority of votes in favor, 88. Only nine senators voiced their opposition to it. The document will provide funding for the government for the next 45 days, meaning until November.
